I’m a total color junkie. My new favorite color combination is pink & red. Yes, it’s a bold statement but they look SO good together. You can’t help but feel great (or at least that’s how these colors make me feel). So when I found this red polka dot skirt at & Other Stories, I may have squealed or even jumped a little. Ok I did both. The 50’s is one of my favorite decades for fashion inspo and this skirt had 50’s vibes all over it – I knew I HAD to have it. And when I found this bright pink tee (also from & Other Stories), that’s when the magic really happened. In the dressing room that is. I think I squealed and jumped some more and ran to check out (ok I probably walked briskly – there was no need to run). Both pieces would make really great outfits separately, but together, they are magical.
To keep with the 50’s feminine vibe, I wore my silver mules but kept the rest of the accessories super minimal because I really wanted the color combination to be the focus of this outfit. But to really make this skirt pop I put on a red lip – because a 50’s inspired look isn’t complete without a red lip, am I right??? To make it more modern, I blotted it on so its harsh and more natural (like you just ate a red popsicle).
