How to Wear Brights and Whites for the Winter

Happy (black) Friday!  I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  Today’s look was definitely shot pre-turkey day because there is no way I’m getting into these jeans right now 😂.  So while you’re lounging at home online shopping or currently standing at the fitting room line (let me guess; you’re probably at Zara 🙃), I thought I’d share my tips on wearing brights and whites for the Winter. (BTW – this turtleneck is from Aerie and currently on sale!).

1 ⇒ Wear them together – White will always make a bright color really pop

2 ⇒ Pair with cozy fabrics – It’s the idea that we shouldn’t wear bright colors in the Winter that makes them look so cool in chunky knits, thick corduroy, soft suede or rich velvet

3 ⇒ Mix with rich colors – Pairing with traditional autumnal colors like chocolate brown, burgundy or forest green makes them more wearable in the colder months

In other news, I’ve started to share additional outfit ideas with the thrifted pieces I share on the blog so make sure you’re following me on Instagram!
