If you haven’t heard yet, the 2000s are back and they brought their endless collection of sheer shirts with them.
In my opinion, the fashion of the 2000s is my least favorite of all the decades. Everything was too low, too short or too big. So I have been extremely picky when it comes to embracing the trends of the Y2K. I pray to the fashion Gods I never find myself in another pair of low-waisted jeans ever again. Yet, I have noticed a few sheer shirts creeping their way into my closet and I don’t hate it.
The way I’ve been wearing them recently are with a contrasting bralettes underneath, paired back to high-waisted trousers. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you know how much I love to play with opposites in my outfits. So in this case a tailored & polished trouser balances out the sexiness of the shirt.
If you work in an a casual & creative office, then I think you can definitely rock this type of outfit to work. If not, then this can be a cool outfit to wear to brunch or summer party.
The thrift stores are have chock loads of them and at such a low price, it’s a risk free way to experiment with your style! You may love it or hate it, but you’ll never know unless you try!
