Since I dedicated my September’s #thriftingtuesdays to blazers (because #blazerseason), I couldn’t end the month without a $25 challenge! If you’re unfamiliar with the “$25 challenge”, it’s when I attempt to find a full outfit at the thrift store for only $25. And this time, the outfit had to include a blazer! After 3 hours hands deep in blazers, I present to you the final product! Don’t let this picture fool you. I am ecstatic about this outfit! I feel like a really stylish nomad who watched West World before she packed.
When I bought this blazer I didn’t necessarily have an outfit idea in mind. To be honest with you for this challenge I picked up a few blazers and a bunch of tops so I could play around with the pieces and see where the inspiration hits. When I put these cords on with this blazer, the wheels started turning. So I popped on the hat and necktie (just for fun!) and I fell in love! It’s crazy how accessories can completely transform an outfit. The patterned necktie adds interest and the hat, well, just makes it look cool. Sometimes things in fashion can also be explained by a feeling. And this hat always make me feel cool. The liked how the brown color of this backpack complemented the brown in the necktie. I finished off the look with black bootie to balance out the black hat. I also choose a chunky bootie style for a more casual vibe. A flat black bootie would look just as great.
